About Us

Welcome to the Moutrem Peche Oganizasyon

We are a non-profit charity organization striving hard to help Haiti and its citizens to achieve a better life. We aim to provide our all-round help and support to the Haitians across various streams. We believe teaching someone how to fish, rather than giving them a fish. The former has a great potential for the people to be self-reliant once they learn the skills, whereas the latter leads a person to be always a dependent. All of our methods are well-planned for the long-term future, but not any quick-fix approaches.

Who we are

We’re a team of highly empathetic people who’re looking for ways to support and help the people in need by focusing on long term growth approaches. We’re highly energetic when it comes to working on providing our non-profit charity support to the citizens of Haiti. Every member of our team is highly committed and dedicated at what we strive for.

Our mission

Our mission is offering and contributing ways of long term development and nourishment to the people of Haiti. We’ve been working very hard for the last few years to make things better for its citizens. Some of our key aspects of work are:

Better Agriculture:

Haiti is lacking proper resources and infrastructure for the agricultural development. We aim to help by providing the required training and infrastructure to make agriculture better again in the country. We’ve got a team that exclusively works on the development of agriculture and farming of Haiti. Additionally, we offer investments in animal farming. By helping the country with its agricultural sector, we try to combat the economic trouble that’s caused by the heavy imports of food and lack of self-production. Agriculture is one of the most needed and most crucial to the country’s development. Farmers needs tools, fertilizers, irrigation systems and reliable markets to growth.

Better Education:

Haiti is lagging behind seriously, in terms of literacy rate. And parents work hard to pay for education and education is very expensive. Furthermore, even the highly educated ones are left with degrees without no real opportunities to thrive. We are working on reforming the education system, bringing literacy hand and hand with vocational trainings. To alleviate the cost of education, we are constantly working on delivering the necessary educational resources and training materials needed, as well as sponsoring children education by paying for classes for the needed. we are also working on school repairing projects where we would like to rework or rebuild the damaged school building. The education system is very challenging in Haiti and we need all of us united to make it better.

Better Employment and Business:

Employment rate is one of the most important factors that impacts a country’s economy. Unemployment rate is estimated as high as 14.50% in 2020. Approximately 59% of the population lives under the national poverty line of USD 2.41 per day and 24% lives under the national extreme poverty line of USD 1.23 per day. We’re well aware of this and are operating with a high regard to the better of employment opportunities. Providing the right training to gain the necessary skills to be prepared for employment is important, as well as providing the opportunities themselves to exercise those acquired skills are important. . We’re aiming to create employment opportunities, as well as investing in and supporting small businesses for continuous growth and controlling the state of dependency. currently providing different types of training tutorials for the citizens of Haiti to teach them the skills that are required for employment.

Better Environment:

Haiti is facing a serious problem of natural calamities due to Deforestation. Trees had been cut and used to make charcoal. Poverty coupled with population growth are remarkable factors contributing to the deforestation crisis in Haiti. This has led to extreme soil loss from erosion, increased flooding, degradation of water resources and more; which in turn affect agriculture production and decreased food availability. Deforestation resulted in less water vapor in the atmosphere and thus less rain which directly affect agriculture. Haiti is sitting on top of two major faults zones and lying in the middle of the Caribbean hurricane belt. We can’t afford to clear the land of  its trees, which could be a sort of defense to that land. To battle this scenario, we came up with the project,”Plant a tree” regularly.
